About Point Lonsdale
Point Lonsdale sits on the headland at the mouth of Port Phillip, looking across the Rip to Point Nepean, with the lighthouse that has been there since 1863 above the front beach. It is a holiday town that swells in summer and settles back for the rest of the year.
Holiday towns age their housing differently. A place that was shut up for nine months a year and opened at Christmas has often had less done to it than a house lived in continuously, and the electrical work in it can be a long way behind.
