Split Systems
Its own circuit, its own breaker, and an isolator within sight of the outdoor unit. The quote turns on your switchboard and your pipe run, not the brand you picked.
Sixteen jobs we do most, each with its own page written about the work rather than about us. Every one at a fixed price agreed before we start, with GST stated and no call out fee.
Everything we do
Start with whichever one sounds like your house. Each page covers what the job involves, what goes wrong, and what to ask before you hire anyone.
Its own circuit, its own breaker, and an isolator within sight of the outdoor unit. The quote turns on your switchboard and your pipe run, not the brand you picked.
A dedicated circuit sized to what your board and your street supply can carry, sorted before the car turns up rather than after.
Every circuit identified, tested and labelled with what it actually feeds, and certification at the end to keep with the house papers.
New fans, replacements and wall control conversions, fixed into structure rather than plasterboard, which is where most wobbling fans went wrong.
Halogen downlights out, LEDs in, with fittings rated so the ceiling insulation can finally go back over them.
Security, sensor, patio and garden lighting, specified for salt rather than for a catalogue photo taken inland.
Extra outlets where you actually use them rather than where the 1970s builder put one. Inside, outside and in the shed.
Appliance connection, isolation switches and the circuit check that decides whether it goes in on delivery day.
Retrofitted to your existing board where there is room, with a written list of exactly which circuits are covered.
Most houses people think need rewiring need a switchboard. Finding out which one you are is worth more than any quote.
Dead points, tripping safety switches, flickering lights and water in outdoor fittings. What you pay for is the diagnosis, not the part.
Ducted outside rather than into the roof space, which is the single most common thing we find wrong with fans in this climate.
A device at the board for what arrives from outside, and a local layer for the gear you would most hate to lose.
Panels and inverter installed and commissioned, with the switchboard checked before you are quoted rather than after. Straight answers on what you can and cannot claim.
Sized on what you actually use and when you use it, with backup circuits decided before the install rather than wished for afterwards.
Hot water repairs, heat lamps, ducted air conditioning, underground mains, meter boxes and the jobs that do not have a tidy name.
Not sure which one you need, or whether it is one job or three? Ring and describe it. Most of it can be sorted on the phone.
Why NextPoint

A single power point and a full switchboard upgrade get the same process. Priced before we start, tested when we finish, site left clean.

Every job we do is priced before we start, tested when we finish, and covered by our lifetime workmanship warranty.
How we work
What is happening, which room, and what is there now. A lot of jobs can be priced on the phone from that alone.
We check the board, the circuit and the access before quoting. If the job is different from what it sounded like, you hear the new number first, not at the end.
Fixed price with GST stated, agreed before anything starts. It does not move unless you ask for something else.
Every job carries our lifetime workmanship warranty. If our work is not right, we come back and put it right at no charge.
On every job, no exceptions
We come out, look at it and price it. That visit costs you nothing.
One number, agreed before anything begins, GST stated. It does not move.
If our work is not right we come back and put it right at no charge. No expiry.

Fantastic service from start to finish! Luke was on time, professional, and explained everything clearly. The work was done efficiently and to a high standard, with great attention to detail. Friendly, reliable, and reasonably priced. I wouldn't hesitate to recommend them to anyone needing electrical work.

Before you ring
You get one number before anything starts, with GST stated, and it does not move unless you ask for extra work. A lot of jobs can be priced on the phone from a good description. The ones that cannot are usually the ones where what is behind the wall or inside the board decides the price, and for those we come and look first. That look costs you nothing, because there is no call out fee.
No. There is no call out fee and no minimum charge. We come out, look at the job and price it, and if you decide not to go ahead you owe us nothing. We would rather quote ten jobs and win six than charge people for the privilege of a quote.
Yes, and it is genuinely cheaper for you. The ladder, the drop sheets and the roof space access get set up once instead of three times. If you have been putting off a couple of small things, mention all of them when you ring rather than one at a time. We will tell you honestly which ones fit in a single visit and which ones need their own day.
It depends what is booked. Small work such as a fan swap, a power point or a fault find is usually soonest. A switchboard upgrade or a split system needs a booked day. Ring and we will tell you what we can actually do rather than what sounds good on the phone, and if we cannot get there when you need us we will say so straight away.
Geelong, the Bellarine and the Surf Coast, and the price is the same across all of it. There is no distance loading for being at one end of the patch rather than the other. If you are not sure whether you are in range, ring and ask.
Yes. Registered electrical contractor REC 346464 with Energy Safe Victoria. That number is on every page of this site, on our invoices and on the van, and you are welcome to check it. Every job also carries a lifetime workmanship warranty, which means if our work is not right we come back and fix it at no charge.
Still deciding? Tell us the room, the ceiling and what is up there now, and we will tell you what it needs.
Where we work
Same price across the lot. No distance loading for being at one end of the patch.
Describe the job in your own words. That is usually enough to get you a fixed price, and there is no call out fee for coming to look.
