Indoor ceiling fans
Bedrooms, living areas and home offices. Blade sweep matched to the room, fixed into structure rather than plasterboard alone.
Geelong summers are long. A fan moving air lets you sit at a higher set temperature and feel the same. New fans, replacements and wall control conversions, fixed into structure rather than plasterboard, at a fixed price agreed before we start.
Installation options
From a straight swap to a brand new fan point. Every job is fixed into structure and priced before it starts.

Patios and verandas on the coast. Rated for the position and specified for salt air, so the motor and the fixings both last.
A fan with an integrated light kit, which is usually what people mean when they say they want a fan where the light is now.
The old one comes down, the fixing gets checked while the ceiling is open, and the new one goes up on something solid.
No fan there now. We work out where the structure actually is, which in older Geelong ceilings is rarely where you want it.
Off a pull cord and onto a wall control, so nobody is standing on the bed reaching for a chain in the dark.
Not sure which fan, or whether the ceiling will take one? Ring and describe the room. Most of it can be sorted on the phone.

How we work
How many fans, which rooms, what is there now. Most ceiling fan jobs can be priced on the phone from that.
We check the ceiling, the fixing and the switch before anything comes down. If it is different from expected, you hear the new price first.
Old unit out, new fan mounted to structure, balanced, tested and the site left clean.

Real reviews from ceiling fan customers
Published on our Google Business Profile, reproduced word for word. These three specifically mention ceiling fan work.
Fantastic Service from Luke at NextPoint Electrics! We recently had Luke from NextPoint Electrics install five ceiling fans in our home, and we couldn't be happier with the results! From the moment he arrived, Luke was professional, friendly, and clearly very knowledgeable. He took the time to ensure each fan was perfectly positioned and securely installed, with all wiring neat and tidy. The quality of his work was outstanding, everything runs smoothly and quietly, and the rooms feel so much more comfortable now. He also cleaned up after himself and made sure we were completely satisfied with the job before leaving. If you're looking for a reliable and skilled electrician, we highly recommend Luke. A fabulous job from start to finish! Kellie and Drew
Luke was super efficient and communication on point. Came around the next day to quote for all ceiling fans replaced and was all done in less than a week. Highly recommend Luke and Nextpoint Electrics!
Had luke from next point out to fit some ceiling fans, install some downright in darker areas of my house and he also added a couple of sensor lights on the outside. Luke was very professional from his quote to when he said he could do the work. Turned up on time and well presented. Run me through what was needed and prices and was very professional about it all. Would defintely use again and highly recommend
Ceiling fan questions
Usually, and it is the most common request we get. Two things decide it. First, whether there is structure above that point to fix to, because a fan goes into a joist or a fan bracing bar and never into plasterboard on its own. Second, how you want to control it. If a remote suits you, the existing light wiring can often stay as it is. If you want speed control on the wall, that needs an extra core back to the switch, which means roof space access and a run down the wall cavity. We look at both before quoting, so the number does not move on the day.
It is worth looking at rather than living with. A small wobble is often blade balance, and a balancing kit or a swapped blade set sorts it. A wobble that has got worse over time, or a fan that moves the ceiling around the canopy, points at the fixing rather than the blades, and that needs someone above the ceiling to see what the fan is actually held by. Turn it off and ring us. If it is a fixing problem it is much cheaper to correct than to ignore, and it is the one fan fault genuinely worth acting on quickly.
If they are swaps onto existing fan points, a houseful in a day is realistic. Once new cable, new switch drops or bracing are involved, the number per day drops and we will tell you which one yours is before we start rather than at 4pm. Doing them together is genuinely cheaper for you, because the ladder, the drop sheets and the roof space access are set up once instead of three times. If you are thinking about fans for two bedrooms and the lounge, price all three.
Either works. We supply and install, and we hang plenty of fans customers have bought themselves in a sale. If you are buying your own, send us the model before you commit if you can. Checking the sweep against the room, the mounting options against your ceiling and the blade clearance against your ceiling height takes a minute on the phone, and it is a much better conversation than the one that starts with the box already open.
Yes, anywhere within a short drive of Ocean Grove. That takes in Drysdale, Torquay, Barwon Heads, Leopold, Queenscliff and everywhere else listed on the service areas page. Fans are one of the jobs most worth grouping with something else on the same visit, so if you have a light not working or a power point you want moved, mention it when you ring.
Still deciding? Tell us the room, the ceiling and what is up there now, and we will tell you what it needs.
Complementary services
Ring and tell us how many rooms, what is in the ceiling now and how high the ceilings are. That is usually enough to get you a number the same day.
